Sel des Alpes - THE SALT OF THE SWISS ALPS

SEL DES ALPES

THE COLLECTION

Legend has it that it was goats that first discovered the path to the SEL DES ALPES, via a saltwater spring – over 500 years ago. Ever since, we have gone deep underground in Switzerland’s last working salt mine every day to produce one of the purest salts in the world for you.

SEL DES ALPES

FINE SALT

Our SEL DES ALPES has been preserved in the heart of the Swiss Alps for over 200 million years. Carefully extracted using crystal clear glacier water, our "white gold" is crystallized using green energy from our own hydroelectric power plant. Since more than 500 years, this process, combining tradition and modernity, allows us to produce a salt that has preserved all of its purity.

FLEUR DES ALPES

SWISS GOURMET SALT

Fleur des Alpes comes from the very heart of the Swiss mountains. This unique specialty is produced by hand in a small artisanal workshop within the Bex Salt Mines. Preserved in rock for 200 million years, the salt is rich in minerals and trace elements. Intended for the fine gourmet, it is the natural finishing touch to reveal all the flavors in your dishes.

FLEUR DES ALPES

LARCH EDITION

This special edition of Fleur des Alpes is a homage to larch wood. Thanks to its innumerous qualities, this wood has always been used in salt mines. Today, our Fleur des Alpes is still slowly and carefully dried on larch wood. In its elegant jar, Fleur des Alpes will adorn your table and reveal all the flavors of your dishes.

A SWISS STORY

BEX | 1554

One must go back to the 15th century to locate the discovery of the salty spring of Bex, a small Swiss town, situated at the foot of a majestic alpine circus a stone throw from Lake Geneva. A region that seems to have been blessed by the gods with its special geography from the Rhône River to the Glaciers, its colorful vineyards, its exceptionally good water, its favorable climate and, of course, its salt mine.

"Miles of underground galleries, a train in the mountains... For once, the children were taped up!"
